Marion Ramirez is a Puerto Rican dance artist. She studied theater at the University of Puerto Rico and completed a BFA at The Laban Center in London. Throughout the years she has develop her choreographic work an well as performed with a number of inspiring choreographers. She has toured in Puerto Rico, Cuba, Europe, Korea and the US. For the last 13 years Marion has enjoyed teaching movement to children and adults form all ages and backgrounds. She is currently a Teaching Artist at BAX and at The Joyce Theater. In New York she has focused in studying improvisation and somatic practices. She has had the opportunity to study Kinetic Awareness with Elaine Summers since 2004. She co-directs U turn Dance Company with Jung Woong Kim with whom she performs and co-teaches contact improvisation.
